Fish Tank

Max depth: 40 m / 130ft General profile: 18 m / 60 ft for 45 min

Situated directly in front of The Point, Fish Tank is a dive to remember. A mooring in a rubble area of 12 m / 40ft offers both experienced and novice divers the opportunity to make a controlled descend. This rubble area is in the centre of a bowl, formed by the inner reef on the shore side and large coral bommies towards the outer reef and is home to a multitude of nudi branchs in all the colours of the rainbow. Amongst the coral rubble you will also find two-tone dart fish and several species of sea cucumbers. Red and black anemone fish in a large orange tipped anemone and a branching anemone hosting ghost shrimps, is just some of the highlights of this dive. As you round the first large coral pinnacle, a school of red bass usually hovers like a cloud over the reef while midnight surgeon fish join unicorn fish in the deeper water. Our safety stop is on one of the shallow bommies where hundreds of turquoise anthias vie for a place inside the untouched staghorn corals. Together with sergeant majors and blue and gold fusiliers, Fish Tank really makes you feel you’re in a very big fish tank!
